Thanks very much, I appreciate this. You probably know that you don't need to give me the extra points (I posted just a comment in your FileCopy question), but since you kindly offer them to me, I'll gratefully accept them.

Because you're probably still on the subject, a little extra note I think is worthwile to be cautious of (now and in the future):
Sometimes an API takes a so called "far pointer" to a string or a Type (struct in C/C++). In easy terms that means that the pointer points to an object in the memory outside your processspace. Most cases I tried to implement a far pointer in VB, I either got an application error or it was just ignored. In SHFILEOPSTRUCT it's the lpszProgressTitle that's the far pointer (it points to an address of Explorer.exe, I think). That's why using it won't work most of the time.
