I am working on a MDI application. The view is derived from CEditView. I use AppWizard to create the whole frame work.
Question#1: Not like the case which the view is derived from CView, why OnDraw never get called in the view derived from CEditView? Which function is handling the screen update?
Question#2: What kind of functions in CEditView available I can call to change the font's style, attributes and window's (View) Foreground and BackGround color? Like SetDefaultCharFormat in CRichEdit.

1. In this case, the view really doesn't have anything to draw because the entire client area is covered by an edit control. In this case, you will need to override the EvPaint for the edit control in order to know when to draw.

2. The edit control does not support multiple fonts and attributes, you should create another application from the wizard using the CRichEditView instead. Then you can use SetDefaultCharFormat() and such on the view.
