windows 98,(sndcard is isa 16bit) modem is winmodem.  My question is; in system settings should i be using isa-vesalb or pci bus drivers ( using isa-vesalb now )

thanks for the help but already figured it out, the problem stemmed from the fact that the people i bought the system from supplied the wrong software, as such it was making the wrong calls to the pnp bus & 32 bit bios which kept crashing the kernel
once I figured out that the sound chip was c-media and the software drivers was for a yamaha opl3sa, but thanks for getting back to me though. I do appreciate it.
