How do I execute a RSH on an NT Server

I have set up the RSHSRV service on my NT server.  It works with RSH commands from an NT workstation, but access is denied from a Linux shell (and Dynix as well).  How do I get around the NT security, so I can run commands from linux.  I have added a .rhosts file to the NT server with

<hostname>  <username> <username>

read rshsvc.txt and the setup \winnt\system32\driver\etc.rhosts

You must stop and restart rshsvc after changing .rhosts

I use from Linux something like:

env USER=NT-domain-user-account rsh nt_server cmd "cmd args"

Yeah that did the trick.  I had to restart the service.  I'd already done everything right.  Thanks mate

that is what happens (to the user) if M$ copies good old fashioned UNIX things and forgets to look at how it realy works.

BTW, see my quotes on the command line, which work from UNIX to NT but not the other way around, even NT to NT fails (probably someone sometimes give us a real shell for NT ;-))
