OK, if there is no hard disk faillure or hardware related problem, do the following:

For MS-DOS and Win95/98, make a boot disc, if you don't have one, and copy SYS.COM on it. Then boot from it and type "sys C:"

For NT, you need the ERD (Emergency Repair Disc) and the 3 Setup floppies. Just boot from the first setup disc and choose "repair"

If you don't have an ERD, do the same, but you might loose some data/settings.
