Formatting hard drive and reintalling win 95

I've read the related article on this site regarding this procedure, but still have a few
questions.

Generically what needs to be included on the bootable 3.5" diskette?  There are several
files listed which I do not have, specifically sstpic95.exe, aricdi.exe and panning.sys.  Are
these the names of his cd-rom drivers?  If so how can I find the name of mine and copy
them to this disk(settings says that no driver was loaded for this device although I do have the driver disk which came with the cd-rom).

I also have a disk to partition my hard drive.  Just to be thorough would I use this after the boot disk and before installing win 95?

Just a note: my autoexec and config files only inlcude 1 or 2 lines unlike his (on the related articl whick I refered to)which have many.

dmk166, here is what you need for startup floppy:
- make floppy bootable
- files: HIMEM.SYS, MSCDEX.EXE, CD-ROM driver.

To find what CD-ROM driver you have, check on HD your CONFIG.SYS
Usually you'll see smth. like:
DEVICE=ATAPICD.SYS /D:MSCD001
It maybe anything, but notice /D: and device name after it.
Locate this file and copy it on boot floppy.
Create CONFIG.SYS on floppy:
DEVICE=HIMEM.SYS
DOS=HIGH
DEVICE=ATAPICD.SYS /D:MSCD001

Note: some drivers require IRQ, IDE port. Like SBCD.SYS with /p:170,15 Maximum I can send you generic CD-ROM driver that works
with almost any CD-ROM
Then you create AUTOEXEC.BAT:
MSCDEX.EXE /D:MSCD001 /M:15 /V

That's it.

Yeah, you can add FORMAT.COM, FDISK.EXE and SYS.COM if you want to
reformat/repartition your HD.

what is your reason for re-formating your hard drive as usually ide drives don't need to be re-formated or re-partioned.
 if you just want to re-install 95 but can't because of cd-rom drivers, simply copy the win95 directory from windows95 cd-rom to you hard drive prior to deleting windows then make a boot disk on 3.5 disk and boot to it now delete everything but the win95 dir reboot and switch to c:\win95 and type setup /is /iq
press enter and you all set.
