Hi experts.
I'm developing my app using VC++5.0 in WindowsNT4.0 SP3.
I installed a button control in a CDialogBar with associated handler.
But the button isn't enabled during runtime.
Can anyone let me know why and how to enable it ?
Thanks in advance.

When you added the button, presumably via the resource editor, did you check the Disabled option by accident?

Or, are you adding it during run time?

The easiest way to do this is to give the button an ID that's the same as a particular menu item.  Usually you want the button to duplicate a menu item's functionality anyway.

For example:

Go to the resource editor, and select properties for the button you're interested in.  Under the General tab type ID_FILE_NEW for the ID.  Now whenever the File New menu item is enabled, your button will be too.

Dear jstolan
Thanks.
But your recommendation doesn't match with my need.

Dear bernfarr
No.
Thanks anyway.
