  Hello.

I'm wondering if someone can offer me a recommendation for a beginner's book on
CGI scripting using C++ and/or PERL?

For CGI and Perl, I'd recommend the O' Reilly book "CGI Programming on the World Wide Web". For Perl itself, you should consider either O' Reilly book "Programming Perl" or "Learning Perl".

I can't recommend anything for CGI using C++.

A good place to buy technical books cheap is www.bookpool.com. I've ordered from them several times over the last year or so, and you can't beat the price.
