That's a SoundBlaster compatible PnP card, right?

Just compile a kernel with sound as a MODULE, run isapnp with the correct settings for the soundcard and install the sound modules.

I don't know if it's necessary, but maybe you should install the latest sound drivers. You can get them at:

http://www.4front-tech.com/ossfree/ossfree.html

Download OSS/Free 3.8s9 and follow the instructions. You should do this before compiling a new kernel!

I would suggest you to download OSS(Open sound system) from http://www.4front-tech.com
It supports for many sound card and I'm also using ESS 1868 PnP and I can hear music,radio,etc.. After downloading please email to me and then I will send to you crack for it (only If you would like to have it otherwise please ignore this msg )
