I need to use one of it in my ActiveX control to retreive some binary files (file size can variy from few hundred kbytes to few megabytes) across the intranet. which one is more advisable to use?

Thanks in advance!!

b() = Inet1.OpenURL(strURL, icByteArray)
OpenURL both opens and returns the contents of the internet address.  If you want to save this to a file, you would have to do that in a seperate step.  This is generally used for small files and generally to display the comtents of text files.

Inet1.Execute txtURL.Text, "GET GetThis.txt C:\MyDocuments\GotThis.txt"
Is true FTP file transfer.  This allows you to retrieve a file from the internet and save it directly to your disk.

I believe this is true, although I have no information on it.  You might want to try it to see.

Thanks.
