How do i convert a bmp to a gif?

I want to save a bmp in a imagebox to a gif how do i do it?
1 Solution

to convert a bitmap to a gif, you have to use a "LZW" algorithm.
This algorithm is patented by Unisys:
- Main source: http://www.unisys.com/LeadStory/lzwfaq.html
- Or contact: cheryldtartler@unn.unisys.com for the license fees.

There are some OCXs, which do the conversion, like PhotoPro Gold (http://www.pegasustools.com) or ImageKnife (http://www.olympus-software.com) (about $US 400 or 500).

There is an alternative, which converts metafiles to GIF. It is quite slow (and I don't know how he does it - but it works). For further information contact the author (dsuffiel@worldaccess.com).

Please soeding or webrage,

If you know the altenative maner to convert wmf to gif mencioned by soeding in above answer, please, tell me more details about...
