excel  5.0   VBA

Hi:

I have GUI in one Excel workbook. In one sheet there is button. Users can click button to open a xls file, hide it  and come BACK to this sheet. I do not know the name of xls file , so OPEN methode can NOT be used.

In Office 97 it is easy question. But now I have to use Excel 5.0. Any good ideas?

Pass the sheet itself as a parameter to the function that you call before hiding the current sheet.  When you want to activate the old sheet, you have the information in the parameter that came in!

I donot know how practical it is..but its an idea.

This is how you access the sheet you want to pass as parameter...
ActiveWorkbook.Worksheets("substitute_sheetname_here")
