OL98, unread mail shown i top-folder?

I have subfolders in my inbox, and a rules-wizard to "park" specific  mail in those subfolders.
How is it possible to view all unread mail in my inbox including subfolders if my inbox is "minimized"?
Normally it only shows unread mail from inbox and not from the subfolders.

The best I can say is to notice that the folder can be put in the Oulook bar, and it will show how many unread messages are in it. The messages, once you start to read, will read just as they do in your Inbox. Now if you are asking to have your Outlook to jump from the Inbox when you are done reading new messages to your other directory where you had rules move certain messages to and start reading there, the answer is no, I have not seen anything that will allow that to happen. You could read them as they come in, but after that I think you wil have to start the read process in each folder, and subfolder.

HOW MANY unread mails do i have in my inbox including subfolders, this should be viewed in the topfolder (inbox)
e.a. i have a unread mail from xx in a subfolder in my inbox, but i can´t see that it is unread unless i open my inbox

You can insert the sub folder into your Outlook task bar so it will appear right along with the other folders, then it will have the number of unread messages posted next to it just as your inbox does.

yes that I can do, but I want to know, please, if it is possible for Outlook to Count and display, the result of, all unread mail in inbox including subfolders:
if I have 1 unread i my inbox and 1 unread in a subfolder in my inbox, the inbox should display 2 unread mails in my inbox.

There isn't any feature to let you see al unread messages for any folder except the currently selected folder.  I imagine it could be because you may have 2000 deleted mail messages, and many other messages which you didn't read, but have deleted, or moved one way or another. It would be very annoying for me to see that I have 100 unread messages when I actually have 2 in my inbox. So for whatever reason Microsoft has there is no feature to view all boxes as they were one. Take my suggestion and put the subfolder in your Outlook task bar so it will be visable at all times.
