I am running an access front end to retrieve data out of SQL. The linked table are running extremely slow, so I want to do some programming to speed up things.  I have some stored procedures that I am running in Pass Through Queries, but as far as I am aware of they are not updateable. What would be another solution to having updateable records?

If you want to update records using forms or queries, the only solution is linked tables. Otherwise you can use VBA code and pass-through queries, to execute stored procedures, that update records.
