How come when printing a photo and you have changed the size of the canvas to 8.5 x 11 and the page setup when the picture is croped there is a line in the middle and the picture is ruined?

Try to manage your images size in pixels, managing by mm, inch, cm create very large and huge image file sizes, and most of the time unprintables in 'cuase of their size, another if you want to print images to fit to regular sheets, A4, try to give to the image the size o the resolution of your monitor, to have an more specific idea of the image size, and when you print, try to use another software, for example once you create your image, export it to powerpoint97 (i use recommend for the printing part),  fit to the slide, and the print it.
