I am currently using Outlook Express which I recieved with Win98. I have seen Outlook 97/8 and I was thinking about using it instead. Essentially, they do the same thing, but is Outlook 97/8 that much better/user friendly than Outlook Express that I should maybe consider using it?

Don't forget that Outlook 97/8 has contact and scheduling among other feathers.  It also has spell checking and integrates with Office a lot better than express.  It's an all around better product.  Much better.
