I need a counter to put on a web page.  It does not need to be fancy just a plain jane counter.  It will be run on an nt server.  Any ideas how I can get one please.  I have done counters once a long time agao but never on a NT system.

TIA

RECOMMENDATION

For an internet site - I recommend this (regardless of platform)

For my site I used www.TheCounter.com, it's free, you can customize the appearance (or make it transparent), it's fast, and you simply drop HTML into your page.  I even wrote a really favourable review about it for LinkExchange - that's how much I love it.  Plus it gives you tonnes of statistical information.

Simply goto http://www.thecounter.com and follow the instructions.

ALTERNATIVES

If you don't like the above, or you want you own counter, try this page for a list of gadgets on the internet
http://underthesun.com/UTS/Truly/comp23.htm

If you really want to write your own counter and want source for CGI counters (you should have Perl on one of your NT or IIS CD's) then you should be to use more or less the same scripts on NT as on UNIX

If using IIS you could alternatively use ASP (Active Server Pages) which embed VB to do counting

BTW I expect you know this but IIS = Microsoft Internet Information Server
