I am looking for some sort of a shareware program that can send .PCX files directly to a graphics lineprinter, such as a HP1600C (or maybe a cheaper equivalent), by using a batchfile that I can run by SHELLING from within a DOS basic program.
Does any one know of some sort of a program that can make the transfer of the .PCX file directly to the color printer look transparent to the end user of the compiled basic program that is calling the SHELL to the batch file?
I don't want to have to leave the compiled basic program in DOS and go out to Windows just to print the .PCX files.

Yes, you need the program called Image Alchemy. it is shareware and it is the BEST command line utility our there and it can convert to any know graphic format.  It can also accept ERROR LEVEL codes from batch programs.
