Easy Syntax Question

I am trying to retrieve data from 2 tables in the same database, but I can't figure out the syntax problem.  The error I get is:
ADODB.Recordset error '800a0cc1'
Item not found in this collection.
/History.asp, line 36

The following is my script and the syntax problem should be the last line.
Set Conn = Server.CreateObject("ADODB.Connection")
Conn.ConnectionTimeout = 15
Conn.CommandTimeout = 30
Conn.Open "DSN=RP"
strSQL = "SELECT Inventory.ID, Inventory.Type, Inventory.Brand, Inventory.Model, Inventory.Comment, History.Username, History.BT, History.Price FROM History INNER JOIN Inventory ON History.Bid = Inventory.ID WHERE History.Username='" & User & "' ORDER BY Inventory.ID,  History.Price, Inventory.Type, Inventory.Brand, Inventory.Model"
Set RS = Conn.Execute(strSQL)
Resonse.write RS("Inventory.ID")

Thanks for helping!  Greatly appreciated!

My experience tells me never to trust an ASP error message, but looking again at this case I wonder if you have good code, just made a typo here on EE. Are you sure RS is not empty? It may be a good idea to check for EOF first anyhow.
