Is there any way to detect if the BDE is installed on a machine ?  At the moment I just check to see if there is an idapi section in the Win.ini file but this is not a foolproof method.

Thanks in Advance

Hi JohnClarke,

Use DbiGetSysVersion. If it returns nothing, the BDE isn't correclty installed or isn't installed at all.
