Hi, I am writing a java applet using JDK 1.1. It works
well under appletviewer and IE 4.0. But fails under
Netscape 4.01, saying getBounds method not found. I have
to stick on this version of Netscape because it is
our company's standard. What else can I do?

xzhang4, your problem is that netscape 4.01 doesn't support jdk1.1 . The getBounds is a function from jdk1.1 . You can use getSize insted, or you can add a patch for netscape that makes him support jdk1.1 (download from netscape site), or you can use the java plug in that you can download from sun site.
