hello...
Here is the situation... I am installing win95 from dos command prompt. With  win95 cd in cd-rom drive, I type setup and the program starts to scan my hard drives (C and D). Then it starts to initialize the process when suddenly I get this message - "Setup could not find the specified Setup (.CAB) file and cannot continue."
I'm totally lost. Ideas please....

Are you sure it is a CD provided by Microsoft and not a Installer
type of CD. (containing software dowloaded from warez sites).
If this is the case then go and buy the legal CD. If it is a CD
provided by Microsoft then copy all files in Win95 folder to
c:\win95 then run the setup from the hard disk.
You will need about 50-60 MB free to copy setup files to your
hard disk.

Yup... it is a legal windows95 cd that comes with PLUS. Okay, I will give it a try. By the way, do you mean copying the whole cd or only some files? Tell me exactly please... thanx.

Assuming that D is your CD drive. copy all files in d:\win95
folder, not all the files on the CD but all the files in this
folder.
Files may be copied to c:\win95 and then the setup has to run from there.
