Short unwanted line beside image

Some of the images in the pages i'm making have short lines at their lower right corner.  How do I remove them?  Other images in the pages do not have them.

In order to get rid of the line write the anchor and img tags all on one line like this:

<a href="xyz"><img src="abc></a>

with no line breaks.
