WordPerfect iIlegal Error

I Have WordPerfect 7 after I installed win98 when I start wordperfect it comes up with a window that Says "This Program has Performed an illegal operation and will be shut down."  The details say Wpwin7 caused an invalid page fault module SHELL32.dll at 015f:7fce23b3. I downloaded a different Shell32.dll from the internet and win98 says not not not!!! the new one did not work at all. I put the old shell32.dll back and I get "the message"  If I just put that error mesage off to the side I can use WP just fine untill I try to print. If I just Print I'm ok but If I try to change printers or Settings the printer screen locks up. It also messes up the printing in other applications.  I can continue to use wp untill I close it then inorder to restart wp I must restart the computer.

hi there...this was a known issue with wp 7's earlier releases and windows 98.  You can work around it like you are already doing, and you can also change your default folder in wp 7 to c:\my documents.  that may help as well.  another thing you can do is add a /x switch to your starting shortcut (for wordperfect).  that will allow it to start without the error (most likely), you simply won't be able to make any customizations.  lastly, there is an NT-enabled release of wp 7 which will correct that as well.
