People can't call my house when I'm using the internet. A friend of my has his computer or modem somehow set so it boots you off of the internet when there is an icoming call. Do you know how to get my computer or modem or whatever to do this? (the least expensive way)

You need call waiting on your phone line.
In Windows95 Connect To box under Dialing Properties
Uncheck "This location has call waiting"

Call waiting would work. But you have to order it from the phone company. It is not free.
