Win98 OUTLOOK EXPRESS Spell Checker

I use WordPerfect 6.1 as my word processor.  Before I loaded Windows 98, my IE 4.01 Outlook Express worked fine with my spell checker.  Now it says I must use Microsoft Office apps, and my Spell Checker is gray and not usable.
I am not usually a bad speller, but this is ridiculous that I should have to use another system just to have spell checking in my EMail program here at home.  This is not fair and what may I do, other than use my dictionary.
Thanks,
Delaney

Delaney,

Sounds like something MS would do.  I think there is no way around it.  This is what they have to say specifically:

Outlook Express uses the spelling checker provided with all Microsoft Office 95 or Office 97 programs— Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel, and Microsoft PowerPoint. If you do not have one of these programs installed, the Spelling command is not available.

If you are interested in a thirdparty spellchecker, let me know and i will direct you to a address.

Delaney,

Hey, thanks for the D.  You need to show some more gratitude when people take the time to answer your questions correctly.  I will remember this.
