I wanted to learn about the Photoshop.  Is there an available tutorial site or basic training on web where i could follow and learn the basic techniques.

There are many sites offering a great deal of tips and some few tutorials (you won't be able to find a site that can cover what a book of 400 pages does though), make a search on some major search engine and i think you would be suprised by the number of hits you are gonna get...
