Boyoung,

Install your scanner first.  Verify that it works.  Shut Down the computer and connect the printer.  Then,  goto Start, Settings, Printers, Add New Printer.  When it asks for the type of printer, insert Disk1 and click on "Have Disk".  Select the BJC-4400 printer from the list and click on next, verify the correct port is selected and press next, it may ask if you want this as the default printer, click "Yes", then next and it should load the printer drivers at this point (you will be prompted for Disk2).  After the printer is installed, restart the system (removing the diskette).  Then verify once more that the scanner works correctly and print out a test scan on the printer.  If you have any problems, please identify the make and model of your scanner.

Good Luck,
Scott

Scott,

The scanner is the type that you add on to the printer "cartridge" It is the IS 22.  I also have the updated twain drivers for it, I downloaded from Canon's Site.  It is in two disks.  How do I load these, and which should I load first,  the printer drivers or the scanner drivers.

With that setup, load the printer drivers first.  Let me know how you like the scanner cartridge.

When I tried to install the drivers.  I got a message that the file was not on the disk.  Do I need to extract the disk or something?  The are still in the form as they were when I downloaded them.  The file has an icon like it is a DOS file, but it is drivers for WIN 98 and 95.  Can you help?
