This problem has stumped me, I like to use file manager and everything was fine until I installed Download Butler and it changed the zip assoc. so when I double clicked on a zip file, download butler came up, well I didn't like that so I uninstalled Download Butler, but when I now double click on a zip file I get no association, so I make one, but it dosn't work. So I reinstall Winzip and still it won't work. If I highlight the file I want to unzip and use the winzip menu on the menu bar it works fine. If I try the options and have winzip associated with zip files it still won't work.
If I highlight the file and then go to the menu/associate and then browse to the winzip.exe it will work once. If I try to double click on another zip file I get the error all over again.
Please help me...

Reset All Associations To Their Default Value

The solution is to go to Windows\inf\shell.inf and right click on the inf file,
then Click Install. This resets all associations to their default. I did this
and it worked like a charm. Who would have guessed.
