There are two... one for the empty recycle bin, the other one for the full one.

The location of the icons is stored in the followin registry key:

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Classes\CLSID\{645FF040-5081-101B-9F08-00AA002F954E}\DefaultIcon

There are two settings called "full" and "empty". Both settings has the form "location, number", where location points to the file the icon is stored in (e.g. c:\win95\system\shell32.dll), and number denotes the number of the actual .

Ok, just start the registry editor by selecting start|run, enter regedit and click on OK.

On the left side of the view, double-click on HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE, then on SOFTWARE, Classes, CLSID, {645FF040-5081-101B-9F08-00AA002F954E}, DefaultIcon.

On the right side you see three entries named (standard), empty and full.

Double-click on empty, and type in the value. If you have an *.ico file, you enter just the name of the file. If the Icon is inside an *.exe od *.dll file, you need to specify which one you ant to have; the first one being 0, the second 1 and so on.

Click on OK, and exit regedit.

You may have to refresh the icons by deleting something and emptying the bin afterwards to see the effect.

Be careful: regedit is a mighty tool, misuse can kill your windows.
