how can I get a text field to a non-data-aware TMemo control
Secondly how can I put a Memo text to the Text field in the database

a piece of code appreciated

This should be no different than any other field.

MyMemo.Text := qry.FieldbyName('Textfield').AsString;
qry.ParamByName('TextField').AsString := MyMemo.Text;
