I use an excellent program called "The Spider" by Virtual Stampede.

It will submit your site to upto 250 search engines and directories, with keywords and all the usual stuff plus generate extra pages with search engine specific items in to place you higher in the lists.

It costs just $49.95 and I would highly recommend it.  The web address is:
