I am installing a compiled application in VB6 (yea..I got it early :))...however when installing on a machine (This is the only machine I have seen like this) I get an error that is 00000465 and says it can't register the DLL...Whats amazing to me is this is the MFC42.DLL - Its like something is missing that I should be including. I also get the same error for other OCX files...any suggestions or where to look. This is really wierd as the program installs fine on other machines, but not this one...we even scraped the drive and re-installed windows 95 and nothing else and the same error occurs...Thanks!

smithgr,
This error is generated when a DLL has been failed to be registered due to other DLL or OCX needed for the DLL in quesiton. In other words, your MFC42.DLL (Microsoft Foundation Class for VC++ and VB6) is using DLL that is either does not exit on your computer or it is not the right version (it often happens if you are using WIn95 version 4.00.950A or Earlier). To make sure what files are needed for MFC42.DLL, use dumpbin.exe.

smithgr,
You have to be also aware that even that sometimes all the files needed by a certain DLL exists on your computer,  the same error may happen if one of these files is not the right version.
