differences between mirroring and duplexing-

Can someone shed some light on it for me?  I'm trying to learn this stuff and though I'd ask this

Sure, I can tell you the differences--

Mirroring- use one channel and 2 seperate disks to copy data to.  This can ensure the availability of data if one disk is disabled, however nothing can be obtained if the channel is damaged.  These disks must also be the same size.

Duplexing- use two seperate channels and 2 seperate disks to copy to.  A duplicate environment is avail. and a bad channel or disk in one environment will have no effect on the other.

I had to look it up in my CNE training book.  Thanks for asking, it kept me up to speed, too!
