win98 always wants to go on standby

I have a 486-dx2-66 with 32mb of ram and Win98. Almost always want to go on standby.  I tried to shut it off in control panel/power management, but it comes back sporadically.  Would like to totally shut it off for now.

go into your cmos setup program and disable power management
