SIMPLE - port prof. app to enterprise

As I would rather give the gift of points than look in help or book;    Is it not too difficult to port an database app created in VB Professional edition to Enterprise edition?

Depends on what data access method you're using, but for the most part if you're just changing editions and aren't changing versions(3 to 4, 4 to 5) then there shouldn't be any problem.
