I have a big image on the front page of my site.  If I want that same picture on other pages, will it have to load in over and over? or will it come up immediately because its already in the cache?

Since the image is in the cache, it will load much more quickly.  However, if it is a REAL large image, it will still take some time... But, yes, it will load much quicker...
