I want to write an app. that show employees in/out status. The data is stored in an access database and i want to display it an let the users change status (updating the database). I can easily read/update the database using database and recordset objects. But what is the best user interface to use? Is it a dbgrid? If so. How does that control work? How do i display data in a dbgrid?

To use dbgrid you need to put a datacontrol in your form, you link this data control to a database and then a table.  After you link your dbgrid to that data control using the datasource property (wich will show you the data control you have on your form.).

Then right click on the dbgrid and select retrieve fields. Run your apps and you<ll see your data in the grid.

Good luck
