Timer and Delaying

I want to delay somthing from running for a matter of minutes or hours. The timer function only allows 1 minute max. How can I delay somthing for longer?

Simple enough
Just count off the minutes/seconds in a global var.

PRIVATE SUB Timer()
COUNT = COUNT + 1
IF COUNT > DELAY THEN
.
ENDIF
END SUB
