I have a file.  I am evaluating some fields in each record.  If these fields = 0 then I need to delete the whole record.  I do not want any blank lines in my file.  How do I delete the record and eliminate blank lines.

The only way to delete a record from a file, it to write all records besides it to another file, delelete the original, and rename the copy. You can also leave the record blank, and when you add records, establish an algorythm that will search from empty records, and put new ones instead
