Quick Reports Landscape

Hi

I have a(nother) problem with Quick Reports.  I generate a landscape report and it prints landscape no problem.  BUT if I save it and then later load it it prints portrait!!  (Also the Printer Setup button doesn't respond.)   The screen preview is still landscape, but it won't print landscape.  Sometimes it squashes everything up so that it fits on the portrait page!

Anyone had this problem before?  I'm using Delphi 3, and have tried on HP Deskjet 690C, HP Deskjet 520, HP Laser 4P, Xerox Laser Something-or-other.

Thanks,
JB

be sure you've set *all* TQRPrinter.PrinterSettings properly *and* try what happens if you call TQRPrinter.PrinterSettings.ApplySettings manually before Prepare, Preview, Print etc.

Version 2.0k beta January 23
----------------------------
Bug fixes
- Saving a landscape report and loading it back in will not preview or print correctly
- Selecting paper source doesn't work correctly

i guess your problem should be done when you update to 2.0k ß.

cheers,

Black Death.

Hi Black Death

Thanks for the file.  The bug fix in 2.0k "Saving a landscape report and loading it back in will not preview or print correctly" seem to be my problem.

How can I find out what version of QR I have?  I have a file QRpt2Man.doc in my Delphi3\QuickRpt directory.  At the top it says "QuickReport 2.0b".  This is probably the version I have.

yes, i'd say *most* probably if not that's it.
when extracting the download
(http://www.qusoft.no/scripts/download.dll)
you'll find a file qr2faq.txt in the doc-subdir of your extraction destination dir.
here you can see the version history with bug fixes and enhancements up to the current version.

You deserve the points.  I don't ask many questions (about 4 over the last year) so the answers usually deserve the points.
Besides, the points have to be used up some way!!  :-)

Cheers,
