SLOW!!!!! Panasonic 4450

Hello,
Here is the slowest printer problem I could get!. I have a Panasonic 4450 laser printer on a Win95 box at home. The problem is that I could write out the pages faster than I can get them printed. I have tried new drivers and reloaded the old drivers to no avail. What have I missed with this printer or is it just plain SLOW? Thanks in advance while I wait for my printer to print this page....

The 4550 Panasonic laser printer is a good 300 DP printer even thogh not so new...
( and kinda costly to use... KX-P450 ORIGINAL TONER KIT Price per unit: ~$45.00 and Panasonic 4450 New drum P4450ND : ~$90.00 )
To speed up your printing you will need to set the corect printer emulation as folows :
if your printer is the "KXP 4450 i" model you will need to set the emulation to :
DOS EMULATION :
Primary Emulation: HP LaserJet Series II
Secondary Emulation : Panasonic KX-P1180, or Panasonic KX-P1191, or Epson FX-800, or IBM Proprinter II, Diablo 630
WINDOWS 3.x :
the driver you need for ?Win3.x is : WIN31LBP.EXE ( This file also contains the latest "UNI" Driver for MS Windows 3.1/3.11.)
secondery emulation : HP LaserJet II
WIN 95 :
Drivers are included with Windows 95. Select "Add Printer" from the Control Panel,
this printer should be listed under Panasonic.

if yuor printer is the " KXP 4450" model you will need to set the emulation to :
DOS EMULATION :
Primary Emulation: HP LaserJet Series III, Secondary Emulation: None ( ! )
WINDOWS 3.x :
the driver you need for ?Win3.x is : WIN31LBP.EXE ( This file also contains the latest "UNI" Driver for MS Windows 3.1/3.11. )
secondery emulation : HP LaserJet IIP.
WIN 95 :
Drivers are included with Windows 95. Select "Add Printer" from the Control Panel,
this printer should be listed under Panasonic.

You may want to add more memory to your printer, i assume you have the default memory ( 512K ), any more memory will speed up the printing .
RAM modules of 1Mb can be added up to total of 4.5Mb ( original 512K + additional 4M )
It also will help if you lower the printing setting to 150 DPI ( if you have 512K RAM )

What does it mean to be "Always On"?

Is your cloud always on? With an Always On cloud you won't have to worry about downtime for maintenance or software application code updates, ensuring that your bottom line isn't affected.

harroum, Yes it uses the system resources. However it was definatley NOT cheap it cost $1100.00 new when I bought it eons ago. It has 512k ram in the printer. BTW my 2 jobs I have not been home long enough to test it with ACScomm's answer. I will be home tonight and test it let all  know tomorrow...

Harroun, ACScomm :
I have finally got to test what you suggested, but it still take forever to print each page. This system originally had Win 3.1 on it. (BRAIN STORM!) I remember I set a property that told it to proint True TYpe as graphics. That may be my problem. I will have to check that tonight...
