You can only do this if FTP is set-up on the web server. If it is set-up, then there should be instructions on how to connect.  A better (easier way), if you've got Netscape 3.03 or better, just go to the web page where you want to upload, click on File and then Upload File.  You can upload files directly from your browser and skip all the FTP stuff

Do you have an account ? if yes, then you need to know your username, your password. If you do then enter these parameters et the right places:

Profile Name: Myaccount (this could be any name that you want)
Host Name: www.something.com (depends on your server)
host type: Automatic detect
User ID  : your user name
Password : Your password

do not forget to check the "save password" checkbox.
then click on "new" to save all of this information
and finally click on "OK"

That's it. Good luck. If you can't get it to work. tell me.

you have to put ftp.something for your hostname (the address still depends on your server),
not www.something. That should be all you need.

You haven't researched the question enough to give us enough information to answer you.  In order to upload files, you need to have a place to upload them to where the owner of the place has given you the correct account/password to upload.  W/o that info (the place, the account, the password), your question is moot.
