phone "answering machine" software

leaving my computer turned on permanantly I wonder where I could find software replacing the need for a phone answering machine.

I could not find any thing using the big search engeins.

Please point out to me a source from where I can get it (for Windows 95).

There are several communication softwares that can functions as a Telephone Answering machine.

Example: (1) Trio Communication Suite
               (2)  BitWare for Windows 95
               (3) Communication Central

I think you should be able to locate at least one of them on the Internet.

Some of them actually supports wake-up on call features if your hardware supports them.

I can confirm that Cheyenne's BitWare works fairly well. It sometimes confuses a fax with a phone call, but normally it's pretty good. It came bundled with the modem, and has been OK...
