How do I register an ActiveX component that I have uploaded to web site on an ISP.

Once I have registered it, how will I post updates to the site, as I am sure the ISP server will lock the DLL when it is running?

You could use an ocx instead of an dll. (I'm assuming this is a control your making.)  If it were an ocx, you could use the CODEBASE attribute.(Not sure if you can use for a dll.)

Example
<%
<OBJECT
    ClASSID="clsid:01ab2C34-DEF5-67GH-89I0"
    ID=somecontrol
    CODEBASE="http://www.somewhere.com/controls/your.ocx"
>
</OBJECT>
%>
You could also user versioning to handle updating the ocx

I wanted to do this on the ISP server where the pages reside, rather than on the client machine.  This is because, I've developed a component to wrap ADO. When I browse the pages remotely (after uploading) I get ActiveX error: Can't create object.
