Is VRML the BEST/MOST POPULAR For Websites?

I want to support the most popular language/program which will embed 3D enviroment into my webpages.  Is VRML the most popular or is there another format out there? Are there certain plugins i will require for Netscape 3+, and Explorer 3+?

Cosmo seems to be the vrml plugin of choice and vrml plugins are now part of the Netscape distribution (and possibly MSIE) but FLASH seems to be interesting as an alternative to vrml

With COSMO I notice every webpage which shows VRML, the COSMO nav graphic is shown.  Does it always have to show?

If I want movement via the keboard and/or mouse can the VRML language + plugin handle this alone or do I require JAVA/Javascript to be active?

Thanks for saving me lots o time

I do not know Cosmo that well, try going to their website

All the 3D Plugins are here:

http://home.netscape.com/plugins/3d_and_animation.html

Depending on what you want to do, DHTML might be the answer (at least for version 4 browsers) no plugin needed

RU:Hallo! I think rehashing what I just said does not constitute an answer -  It is called poaching and I even gave a link to ALL the 3D plugins not just suggested to use a search engine.

Ratboy: I hope you meant to tell me to post my comment as an answer and happened to accept RU's rehash instead?
