Try the following script:

Sub Entering(Source As Field)
     Dim workspace As New NotesUIWorkspace
     Dim uidoc As NotesUIDocument
     Set uidoc = workspace.CurrentDocument
     If uidoc.editmode Then
          Call uidoc.FieldSetText("fTest", "New Value")
     End If
End Sub
