now i use visualc++5
when i save file from my program it will saved in icon default of window  i would like to know how i change it to my icon.
please suggest me

what you mean by save file? save file in your ap or wirte a new icon file?

To see the icon of your appliction besides a file you need to register that file type with Windows.  IE: You need to tell the os that this file is of the type that your application understands.  The system will then take the icon from where you specified it or your application.
