Ungraceful Shutdown

if the computer is not shutdown properly. e.x user accidentally pulled the plug. Is there a message that my application can intercept. Working on Windows NT platform.

Not a chance!
The computer doesn't even "know" about this.  It can't detect it and if it did there would be no time to do anything about it.

Now some UPSs (universal power supplies) have a feature where they will send information in on a com port when they are about to run out of back up power.  Most of these UPSs will have a program that you run that looks for this and that will shut down windows in the last minute or two before the UPS runs out of power.  I use such a feature like that for my novell server and it seems to work well.
