Presario 5140, running Win98.  Rockwell HCF 56K KFlex V.90.
Mindspring is my ISP.

I can't get this combo to work.  Mindspring & Compaq both
tried everything (updated Compaq with SP for Rockwell,
init strings, etc.).  Occasionally it works but only once.
Please don't answer unless you have this specific combo
working, in which case please tell me exactly how you have
it setup.  I'm fairly knowledgable in this area and have
tried most of the obvious things.

Thanks,
Jason

Try the following init strings:

AT+MS=56,1,300,48000 (this is for Rockwell chipsets only)

or even try AT+MS=56,1,300,46000
or AT+MS=56,1,300,42000

Add these within the extra settings field in DUN.

Please write back and clarify the exact nature of the problem

I ran out of time, gave up, and bought a USB USRobotics external 56K.  I'm going
to try and install that today (pulled out the Rockwell).  Thanks for your suggestions,
if you leave them back as an answer I'll give you the points!

Thanks,
Jason
